The lyrics to this song were written by Sharon, a staff member at a company I was with a few years ago.  She heard that I had a project recording studio and asked if she could record a song that she’d written some lyrics for, plus part of the melody and opening riff.  So we got together and I wrote an arranged the rest of the song.  We recorded it in less than a day, which is the best way as it retained a freshness despite some imperfections here and there.

I played all the instruments and sang backing vocals whilst Sharon sang the lead vocals.  I didn’t know her well and we never met again because I left the company soon after, but I’m pretty sure the lyrics were autobiographical: she was in a relationship with someone she knew wasn’t at all good for her, but she was nevertheless fixated.
